​salvete! I'm the illustrator and web designer of the Minimus course, and I'm hoping to share the love of Latin and the little mouse with more children. I have been teaching Minimus to children from 7 to 12 for many years - since before the course was published, in fact, because I helped to test it on my pupils! ​

I teach small groups and individual students via Zoom. The price is GBP 12 per session for an hour's group lesson(siblings/pets included in the price if they can fit into a Zoom screen!) and GBP 32 an hour for private lessons.

Payment accepted via PayPal or bank transfer, payable at the start of term.


Pupils will need a copy of the appropriate Minimus textbook, but I'll provide everything else!


There are three new groups for beginners starting in September 2026: on Tuesdays at 10:00/10 am, Thursdays at 16:00/4 pm, and Thursdays at 17:15/5.15 pm (all UK time). I am fully booked for private lessons at the moment, but it may be possible to fit in more private session later in the year.


I am also developing a video course for Minimus book 1, with the same stories and projects, and with me teaching. Students will be able to subscribe to the course and work through it at their own pace. Watch this space!

What's next after Minimus?

SUBURANI course
For students who have finished both Minimus books, I recommend the Suburani course. The course is aimed at students from eleven upwards, and we are enjoying it very much.. I'm using the course with groups and private students, again via Zoom.
