Help with Minimus
Is it all a bit strange and intimidating? Here are some useful tips for students, home-educating parents or teachers who are new to Latin and to Minimus.
The Latin in the Minimus course is not that complicated. If you have studied French, German or another modern language, or if you know a bit of English grammar, you should find it fairly straightforward.
If you are really stuck or confused, please ask us for help! Send a message to either the Primary Latin Project or Minimus pages.

There are a few things specific to Latin. The Romans didn’t use capital letters in the same way that we do. The only capital letters you will see in Minimus are on names of people or places. Also, Latin word order is different from English (but similar to German!) so be prepared for verbs in funny places.
For help with how to say the Latin, look at the pronunciation guide here.
Each picture story has a set of Words to Help, on the same or the next page. Our Picture Dictionary is here.
